Parkers Prairie took a 32-25 lead on their home court on Tuesday night and held off a second half comeback attempt by Rothsay to defeat the Tigers, 80-74, in a Little Eight Conference boys’ basketball contest.

“Our boys played hard and never gave in,” stated Rothsay Head Coach Taylor Fuhs.  “We got it to a one possession game and couldn’t get over the hump.  Kind of been the story of our past three to four games.  We are playing well enough to win, but making just too many mistakes down the stretch.”

Rothsay was led by Karson Jensen with 22 points and Matthew Danielson with 17.  Peyton Christensen contributed 12 points.

No information was reported by Parkers Prairie.

Rothsay will host Border West on Thursday night, while Parkers Prairie (4-4) will entertain Ashby.
