Misti Zempel scored 23 points and Kaitlyn Rohloff added 21 to lead the Hancock girls’ basketball team to a 61-38 win over Brandon-Evansville on Tuesday night. Kaitlyn Staples was also in double digits with 11 points for the Owls, who hit eight 3-pointers as a team. The Owls led 25-15 at the half.
Kylee Dingwall led the Chargers with 24 points. Grace Otto, EmmaLee Brethorst and Haddy Baune each scored 6 points.
Hancock (9-2, 6-0 LEC) takes a five game winning streak into their home game with Hillcrest on Friday night.
Brandon-Evansville (2-9) will host Parkers Prairie in a Little Eight Conference game on Friday.
