The Henning boys’ basketball team suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday as they lost to Cass Lake-Bena at the Breakdown Classic Crossover at ‘The Hive’ in Perham. “Great atmosphere and venue in Perham today against one of the best teams in Class A basketball,” said Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “Our guys showed a ton of fight, played extremely hard, and battled to the wire. Cass Lake made one more play than we did. I am proud of our effort. Playing in a game like this helps us in the long run.”
Leaders for Henning were Mason Hammer (24 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 4 blocks), Kale Misegades (19 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 10-11 FT), Tyson Misegades (13 points) and Lane Dilly (10 points, 8 rebounds). Henning shot 44% (19-43) from the floor and made 40% (8-20) of their 3’s and 82% (24-29) of their free throws.
