“We came out flat and Park Christian really took advantage of that,” commented Hillcrest Head Coach Hannah Clark.  “Credit to Park Christian, they played a great game today.  We need to play with a sense of urgency right form the tip so that we don’t have to expend so much energy in the second half trying to get back into the game.”

Maddie Ballweg (19 points, 4 steals) and Ella Knutson (18 points, 9 rebounds) were the leaders for Hillcrest.  Ruby Peterson and Lizzy Olstad had 8 and 7 points, respectively.  Madi Foss contributed 2 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists.

“I thought Maddie B played well today,” added Coach Clark.  “She led us in scoring and was able to get the hoop when we needed a basket.  She played tough and never backed down until the buzzer went off.”

Hillcrest (9-5) plays at Battle Lake on Tuesday and at Hancock on Friday in a pair of Little Eight Conference games.
