Senior tight end Tate Inniger of the Barnesville football team is the Olson Oil Company Athlete of the Week. Inniger had three receptions, all for touchdowns, and ran for another score to lead the Trojans to a 35-20 win over Chatfield in the Class AA Prep Bowl Championship game on Friday at US Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis. The Trojans completed a perfect 13-0 season with their first ever state championship.
“Tate Inniger had the game of his life, catching 3 TD passes, rushing for another and almost throwing for one as well, that pass led to his rushing TD,” said Barnesville Head Coach Bryan Strand. “He was also honored as our Best Teammate at the game. Tate went out on top and it was tremendous to see.”
