Seven seniors return for the Breckenridge/Wahpeton Blades Boys’ hockey team, giving them a solid nucleus of experienced players for the 2022-23 season. Head Coach Adam Wiertzema will be assisted by James Bass. Wiertzema points to Alexandria and Northern Lakes as the top teams in Section 6A.
Returning starters include seniors Jack Rittenour (F), Breckin Spinks (F), Josiah Breuer (F) and Josiah Hofman (D), and junior Jace Johanson (D). Wiertzema is looking to freshmen Isaiah Bruecherg (F), Aiden Hajek (D), Brennan Ritter (F) and Michael Peterson (F) to step into varsity roles.
Rittenour will serve as captains, with Breuer and Johanson as Assistant Captains.
