Geneva Golf Club in Alexandria hosted the third annual "Adult/Child" golf tournament this last weekend.  The tournament consists of 36 two-person teams and brings in golfers from all over the state of Minnesota.  The golfers competed on Saturday in a best ball format and Sunday in a scramble.

Charlie and Brian Fuder, of Fergus Falls, finished 3rd overall in the tournament that included many of the top junior golfers in the state of Minnesota, most of them competing with their mom or dad as their partner.  Charlie Fuder is a senior in high school and is the captain of the Otter boys golf team.

Playing in terrible conditions on Saturday, the Fuders shot an impressive 4 under par score of 69 on the par 73 track. Saturday was cold, windy, and rainy and the Fuders were only 1 shot back heading into Sunday.  Sunday brought better conditions, a little warmer but still very windy, the Fuders put up another impressive score of 69 to finish in solo 3rd place in the 36 team field at 8 under par.  The tournament was won by Drew and Donnie Teeter of Albert Lea while 2nd place went to Arthur Ylitalo and Michael Randall of Buffalo.

"It's always fun to play competitive golf but when you get to have your son as your partner, that makes it even more special," Brian Fuder mentioned.

Riley and Matt McGovern also competed in the tournament and finished T10 at 5 under par.
