Ana Jyrkas broke the women's tournament tees course record at Pebble Lake Golf Club in the qualifying round of the Junior Pot O' Gold on Saturday morning with an amazing -3 under round, 69.  The women's tournament tees are the white tees at Pebble Lake GC and play from a distance of nearly 5400 yards, around 400 yards longer than the non tournament tees.

Ana's record breaking round included 7 birdies on a course that was playing very difficult with fast greens and tucked pins. "I was really happy with my round today but the highlight was making 3 straight birdies on 12, 13, and 14." Jyrkas said.

Jyrkas, only a 16 year old, is heading into her junior year of high school.  She plays goalie for the Otter Hockey team and is one of the best golfers in the state playing on the girl's golf team.  Ana's parents are Wade and Elesha Jyrkas of Fergus Falls.
