Breck Grove begins year two as the Head Volleyball Coach for the Underwood Rockets. Seniors Jorja Gabrielson (Middle Hitter), Alayna Evavold and Becca Johnson (Libero/Defensive Specialist) will serve as team captains in 2022 as the Rockets look to follow-up a 21-8 overall record and a Little Eight Conference (10-0) championship a year ago with a successful run this fall.
Grove will be assisted by Carly Jensen and Kali Koehn at the varsity level. Desiree Frie and Chelsea Cruz will work with the Junior High.
Other returning letter winners included juniors Elizabeth Lukken and Ezrah Baker (injured), and sophomore setter Kallyn Grove.
“Our girls were very dedicated this summer and have been playing very well as a team,” noted Coach Grove. “We have a lot of good energy and dedication in the lower grades as well. We have been plagued with injury, so staying healthy this season will be important.”
The Rockets will be looking to replace graduates Brianna Evavold, Amber Frigaard, Chloe Mark and Mackenzie Thompson in the lineup.
