In addition to the captains, returning starters include senior Kolton Wagner (OL/DL), juniors Aiden Edeen (OL/DL) and Nick Waale (RB/LB), and sophomore Casey Macziewski (RB/LB).

“We return a good mix of starters on both sides of the ball,” said Head Coach Tony Soderberg.  “We return a lot of experience up front and at the skill positions on both sides of the ball.  We have a couple of holes to fill, like any year, but we have the kids to do that.  The strength of this team will be on the defensive side of the ball, especially at defensive line and linebacker.  If we stay healthy and come together as a team, I expect the Rebels to have a good season.”

Soderberg says Seniors Bryan Fischer (OL/DL) and Landon Morkassel (RB/DB), juniors Brody O’Keefe (TE/DL) and Brody Friend (TE/LB), and sophomore Caleb Johnson (TE/LB) are expected to make an impact at the varsity level.

Soderberg looks to Fergus Falls to be the main competition for the Rebels in Section 8AAA, while the Otters and Detroit Lakes are the main competitors in the District.
