The Ottertail Central 13U Babe Ruth team took Wednesday’s game in dramatic fashion with a 5-4 walk-off victory over DGF. The game was tied at four with OTC batting in the bottom of the seventh when Mason Hoyt singled on a 1-0 count, scoring Trinity Baker with the winning run.
Dawson Bushman (3.2IP, 6H, 3R, 7K) earned the victory on the mound in relief of starter Max Grove (3.1IP, 2H, 1R, 2K).
The Dawgs racked up 10 hits on the day with Hoyt (3-4) and Kaden Schmieg each collecting multiple hits.
Ottertail Central moves to an overall record of 7-12 and a league record of 2-3. They will host Rothsay at Underwood for their final regular season game before heading to Alexandria for their District Tournament July 14-17. OTC is hosting the 13U State Tournament, so they receive an automatic bid into the tournament, which will be held July 21-24.
