Marcus Belka (75-70=145) of Perham was fourth.  Ryan Nelson of Fergus Falls finished 29th with a 159 (84-75) and Riley McGovern was 45th with a 163 (81-82).  Jack Justesen of Hawley was 49th with a 164 (82-82).

Fertile-Beltrami won the Class A Boys’ title at Pebble Creek in Becker with a 632 (323-309).  Marshall School of Duluth was runner-up with a 662 (333-329).  Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa was third with a 680 (339-341) and Lakeview was fourth with a 682 (346-336).  United South Central came in fifth with a 703 (362-341) and Park Christian finished sixth with a 702 (355-347).

Cole Witherow of New Life Academy was the individual winner with a 146 (73-73) and Rylin Petry of Fertile-Beltrami was second with a 147 (75-72).

Underwood senior Trevor Swonger tied for fifth place with a 154 (81-73). Hunter Risbrudt of the Rockets turned in a two-day total of 186 (95-91).

“Tuesday was a terrible day weather-wise for golf,” reported Underwood Head Coach Chuck Ross.  “My hat goes off to our kids for battling through 97 degree heat and 30 mile-per-hour winds.  Trevor had a rough first nine, but then played the next 27 holes three-over par to come back from 14th place to 5th by shooting the second best round of the day on Wednesday with a 73.  That takes a lot of grit and determination.  Hudson was playing in his first State Golf Tournament and is only a freshman.  He really improved throughout the year and has some good years ahead of him.”

Dawson Wienbar of Breckenridge was 41st with a 173 (95-78).  Ortonville’s Owen Longnecker was 48th with a 177 (85-92) and DRU Boots of the Trojans recorded a 197 (101-96).

Edina finished first in the Class AAA Boys’ Tournament at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids with a 589 (298-291) total.  Second place went to Spring Lake Park with a 603 (301-302) and Alexandria came in third with a 612 (304-308).

Nate Stevens (70-70) of Northfield, Owen Rexing (71-69) of Rosemount and Jack Wetzel (70-70) of Edina finished in a three-way tie for first place with a score of 140.
