Ashby Legion Post 357 paid a visit to Glenwood on Monday evening where they lost to Minnewaska Area 6-4.  Hunter Norby started for Ashby and Jacob Blair was on the mound for the home team.  Desmond White came in to pitch for Ashby in the third inning with two outs after Minnewaska had hit a three-run home run to put them up, 6-1.

“White held them scoreless the rest of the game and gave us a chance to get back into the game,” commented Ashby Head Coach Dwight Walvatne.  “We had and man on base and the tying run at the plate, but Matson Hoff hit a long fly ball to center field to end the game.  Minnewaska made several nice plays on defense which helped them win this game.”

Ashby has a 1-1 start to the Legion season and will play a double header against Parkers Prairie on Thursday in Ashby, starting at 5:00pm.
