DGF Falls to Maple Lake in AA Third Place Game

Maple Lake banged out 15 hits on the way to a 9-0 win over Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton in the third place game of the Class AA State Softball Tournament on Friday at Caswell Park in North Mankato.  DGF managed only five hits on the afternoon.  The Rebels finish their season 22-6.

Skylar Spessard went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Rebels.  DGF also had singles from Evelyn Moe, Mallory Leitner and Makayla WinterKaitlyn Kitelson swiped a pair of bases for the Rebels.

Leitner (7IP, 15H, 8ER, 1BB, 2K) took the loss for DGF and the win went to Taylor Hess (7IP, 5H, 0R, 1BB, 4K).  Offensive leaders for Maple Lake were Jolyssa Hickman (4-4, 3RBI, R), Jude Kelsi (3-4, 2 2B, 2RBI, 4R), Emma Jude (1-4, 3B, 2RBI, R), Bryn Elsenpeter (1-4, BB, 2R) and Nora Goetz (3-4).

Maple Lake ends their season with 24 wins and 3 losses.
