Fergus Falls Boys Sit Second after One Day of Section Golf Meet

Roseau fired a score of 318 on Monday and Fergus Falls came in with a 327 as the first round of the Section 8AA Boys’ Golf Meet was hosted by the Bemidji Town and Country Club.  Third place is held by Warroad with a 334.  They are followed by Hawley at 348. Barnesville at 352 and Thief River Falls at 367.

Marcus Belka of Perham and Max Wilson of Roseau share the first day lead with scores of 77.   Fergus Falls sophomore Riley McGovern is tied for fifth with a 79 and Adam Kennedy is in a 3-way tie for eighth place after shooting an 81. 

Ryan Nelson of the Otters is tied with Jack Justesen of Hawley for eleventh place after carding rounds of 82 and Gavin Goepferd is tied for 14th with an 85.  Rounding out the Fergus Falls scores were Sam Dirkman with an 89 and Charlie Fuder with a 93.   Ryan Rustad of Barnesville shot an 80 and is in seventh place after day one.  Carter Hilluka of United North Central fired an 86 and is tied for 17th place, while Joey Hilluka of UNC is tied for 29th with a 92.  Brady Petznick of Pelican Rapids shot a 98.
