Kayden Camacho (7IP, 3H, 1ER, 3BB, 5K) held Fergus Falls to just 3 hits on Friday as the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels posted a 3-1 victory over the Otters in the final game of the regular season.  DGF scored twice in the third and added an insurance run in the sixth before Fergus Falls plated their lone run in the top of the seventh.

“It was a pitcher’s duel between Carter Thielke and Camacho,” stated Fergus Falls Head Coach Kevin Pearson.  “The difference in the ball game was the fact that the Rebels were able to get a couple of big hits with runners in scoring position.  The Otters were unable to get the runner on second home in the fifth and sixth innings.  Both times we executed a sacrifice bunt to move the runner to second with one out.  We just couldn’t capitalize with a big hit.”

The Rebels received RBI hits from Austin Anderson, Jordan Summers and Carsen Berreth with Camacho, Anderson and Summers each contributing a double.

Thielke (6IP, 5H 3ER, 1BB, 7K) took the loss for the Otters.  Cole Ziercden (1-3, RBI), Owen Krueger (1-2) and Ethan Gronwold (1-2) had the hits for the Otters.

Fergus Falls received the number three seed in the South half of Section 8AA and will host Ottertail Central at 5:00pm Tuesday in an elimination game.  The winner advances to the double elimination tournament beginning on Thursday in Perham.
