Brandon-Evansville lost twice in the Section 6A Softball Playoffs Thursday night, falling 6-1 to Upsala and then 9-2 to Browerville/Eagle-Valley to end their season.

"In both games we really struggled to get anything going offensively and find our way onto the bases,” commented B-E Head Coach Kasi Sieling. “Defensively, we gave both teams too many opportunities and extra outs with errors and miscues. Both Upsala and Browerville are good teams and they took advantage of everything we gave them.”

Taylin Kramer (6IP, 5H, 6R, 3ER, 4BB, 6K0 took the loss against Upsala.  Hallie Richter and Kylee Dingwall had the only two hits for the Chargers and Dingwall knocked in the only run.  Sydney Schaefer stole a pair of bases and scored their lone run.

Browerville jumped to a 9-0 lead after four innings and Brandon-Evansville managed only three singles, one each by Kramer, Sophie Koep and Hadley Baune.  Kramer also had a pair of steals and scored a run.  Koep scored the other run and Kendra Klimek drove in a run.

“I am extremely proud of this group of girls and all they accomplished this season,” added Coach Sieling. “They came every day, even during a 7 week stretch of practice, with a smile on their faces ready to work hard. Each and every one of the girls on this team improved and grew throughout the season and that's all we can ask of our players. This is a young crew and I look forward to seeing what they can accomplish in the future.  To our seniors, Kaytlyn and Kiley, we thank them for all they have done for this program and all they have given throughout the years. These are two extraordinary young women who have very bright futures ahead of them and I look forward to watching their journeys off the field!"
