Alexandria had all three facets of the game working for them in a 10-0 victory over the Moorhead Spuds on Tuesday at Knute Nelson Field.  “Big thanks to Geneva Capital for hosting root beer float night,” said Head Coach Jacob Munsch.  “The house was packed and there was energy in the air!”

Jaxon Schoenrock set the tone from the start striking out 5, walking one and allowing 5 hits to earn the victory on the mound.

“Schoenrock was outstanding and our defense played very well behind him, as we didn’t commit an error,” noted Munsch.

The Cardinals had 11 hits, led by Schoenrock and Lake Hagen with two hits apiece.  Each player had a double in the game.  Nate Hammerback also collected a double with a shot to the left field fence.

Alexandria will finish their regular season schedule with a double header against Detroit Lakes on Thursday.  It will also be Senior Night and the Cardinals will honor their seniors between games.
