OTC wins girls Quad County Conference

The girls Quad County conference counts the top three scores for the team score. OTC won with a 265, Border West was runner-up with a 321. They were followed by Ashby at 338, WCA at 343, Hillcrest 344, and Pillager 358.

OTC's Sophie Hillman was the medalist with an 86 winning a playoff against teammate Adysen Tysdal also with an 86.  Ashby's Celi Nelson was 3rd with an 88, Underwood's Amber Frigaard was 4th with a 93, OTC's Bridgette Hillman was 5th also with a 93 and WCA's Lexi Hunter was in sixth with a 95.

Making the All-Conference team on season scoring averages were:
OTC - Adysen Tysdal, Sophie Hillman and Bridgette Hillman
Border West - Paige Beyer and Aspen Beyer
Ashby- Celi Nelson
Underwood - Amber Frigaard
WCA - Lexi Hunter
Hillcrest - Annie Claney
Pillager - Kimberly Keefe

"Amber placed 4th after a one hole playoff," said Underwood Head Coach Chuck Ross.  "She was a little nervous playing the 18th hole again in front of 60 kids but calmly sank a 3 foot putt for par to seal the deal. It was nice to see her do that under pressure heading into the Section meet next Wednesday and Thursday."


Underwood golfers Amber Frigaard, Hudson Risbrudt, Trevor Swonger and Landon Ecker earned All-Conference honors.
