Ottertail Central claimed a 15-4 victory over Pelican Rapids on the Vikings home field on Monday.  OTC secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the fifth inning.  The Bulldogs had 11 hits in the game.  Owen Harig, Jayden Harig, Drew Evavold and Hunter Haugen each had a pair of hits for OTC.

“We got our bats rolling today and that’s a really good sign for good things to happen,” said OTC Head Coach Ryan Hendrickson. “Gavin Pausch gave us a really good effort on the bump, another great game for him pitching.  We hit the ball in clutch spots with runners in scoring position and that’s one thing we have been struggling with but are reinforcing.  I’m really proud of the guys today, it was a great team win for OTC.”

Pausch struck out one, walked 3 and gave up 4 hits in his five inning son the mound.

Luke Sjolie went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Vikings.

OTC won the JV game 8-0 behind the pitching of Kaleb Hammes (4IP, 3K, 0R, 1H) and Ayden Olson (1IP, 0R).  Olson also stole 3 bases in the game.
