Fergus Falls sophomore Annika Jyrkas claimed medalist honors as the Otters hosted their home Invitational on Friday.  Jyrkas shot a 79, finishing one stroke ahead of teammate Ellia Soydara and Mallory Uselman of Staples-Motley who both carded rounds of 80.  Moorhead won the team title with a score of 345 and the Otters were second with a 370.  Bemidji took third with a 384, followed by Ottertail Central 390, Staples-Motley 394 and Crookston 404.

“It was a great day for golf,” noted Fergus Falls Head Coach Ben Jurgens.  “The girls did play in rain for about 45 minutes, but otherwise it held off.  Olivia Jurgens, Hanna Bye and Ellie Bergren got the opportunity to gain more varsity experience.”

Jurgens came in with a 100, Bye with a 111, Ava Eklund with a 115 and Bergren with a 118.

Moorhead golfers Madison Hanson (84) and Grace Bernstrom (85) were fourth and fifth, respectively, and Ady Tysdal of Ottertail Central was sixth with an 86.  Bridgette Hillman of OTC was twelfth with a 93.
