Grant Roob delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning on Saturday to seal a 7-6 victory for St. Cloud Tech/Apollo over Fergus Falls.  The Otters had scored two runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game, setting the stage for Roob’s heroics.

Fergus Falls jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a RBI single by Ben Swanson in the top of the first inning, however, the Crush came back with three in the bottom of the first to take a 3-2 lead.  They added to their lead with a run in the fourth.  Carston Fronning knocked in two runs in the top of the fifth to tie the game 4-4, but St. Cloud answered with two of their own to get the lead back at 6-4.  Swanson collected two more RBI in the seventh to tie the game.

Fronning, Cole Zierden and Swanson each had two hits for the Otters.  Swanson had 4 runs batted in and Fronning had 2.  Zierden scored three runs and Carter Thielke scored twice, going 1-for-2 at the plate with a pair of walks.  Colin Becker added a double in four at bats.  The Otters finished with 7 hits and played an errorless game in the field.
