Tigers and Warriors Split Softball Double Header

Rothsay and Wheaton/Herman-Norcross played a softball double header on Thursday and each team wound up with one win.  The Warriors posted a 3-0 shutout and the Tigers captured an 11-1 win.

Anna Bright scattered 7 Rothsay hits in going all 7 innings to post the shutout victory.  She struck out four batters and walked none.  Hitting leaders were Emily Drewicke (2-2, 2B, R, SB, BB), Sadie Vipond (2-3, 2B, RBI, R) and Lydia Vipond (2-3, RBI).  Rothsay was led by Savannah Sullivan (2-4, 2SB) and Madison Tillman (2-3, 2B).  The loss went to Katie Reber (6IP, 7H, 3R, 3ER, 1BB, 5K).

Reber (4.1IP, 1H, 1R, 0ER, 1K, 0BB) earned the win in game two for the Tigers.  Elli Meyer (3-3, 2 2B, 2RBI, 2R), Savannah Sullivan (1-2, 2B, 2RBI, 2R, 1BB), Abby Honer (1-3, 2RBI, R) and Madison Tillman (1-1, 2B, RBI, R, BB).  Megyn Kelly had the only hit for Wheaton/Herman-Norcross.
