OTC Girls Place 2nd in Park Region Conference Track and Field Meet

The Ottertail Central Girls track and field team placed 2nd at the Park Region Conference Meet that was held at Wadena on Tuesday.

“We had some great individual performances with many PR's and two school records set,” said Head Coach Brian Hovland. “Grace VanErp finished the day with 4 first places.  She got first in the long jump with a PR of 17' 1", 1st in the triple jump breaking her own school record with a jump of 38' 2.5", and 1st in the 200 M dash.  She was also a member of the 4x200 team that took first, Erika Heibel, Ally Hart, Kinley Bormann, and VanErp.” 

Hart also got first in the High Jump with a PR of 5', 2nd in the 100 meter hurdles, and 2nd in the 300 meter hurdles.  Bormann got 3rd in the triple jump, 3rd in the 400 meters.  Heibel added a 4th in the 200 meters.  Ava Carlson got 4th in the pole vault breaking her own school record with a vault of 7'6".  Others placing and helping the team to a 2nd place finish, Nora Froslee 4th in the 1600M, Elane Frost 6th 1600, 4th 4x400, 5th 4x800, Kallyn Grove 4th 4x400, 5th 4x800, 6th triple jump, Kyleigh Shebeck 6th 3200, 5th 4x800 and Myeisha Antoni 4th 4x400, 6th High Jump.
