“We had a very solid six innings of baseball,” stated Hillcrest Head Coach Dave Weinrich. “We had one bad inning in the seventh and it cost us. We just can’t give other teams extra outs at the varsity level.”
Evan Lindgren pitched five innings and left with a 4-3 lead. “He worked ahead and stayed in the strike zone,” noted Coach Weinrich. “A very good effort from Evan on the mound.”
Lindgren, Zayne Weinrich, Ethan Swedberg and Nate Bermel each collected a hit to lead the Comets at the plate.
The Comets will play Central Minnesota Christian on Friday at 6:00pm in Fergus Falls.
