Rothsay split their double header with Ada Borup West on Monday, winning game one 11-6 and losing game two 15-0.  “Game one was a fun, tight game throughout as both teams made some big defensive plays,” said Rothsay Head Coach Anita Heier.  “We struggled to throw strikes in game two, allowing 14 walks, and we couldn’t get anything going offensively.”

Game one was tied 2-2 going into the sixth inning.  Each team scored 4 runs in the sixth, leaving the game even at 6-6.  Madison Tillman launched a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh to provide the winning margin.  Kenadi Carlsrud (3H, 2B, 2RBI) led the offensive effort for the Tigers.  Savannah Sullivan, Chase Balken and Katie Reber each had two hits.  Katie Reber (7IP, 6H, 9K) was the winning pitcher.

The Tigers didn’t have a hit in game two.
