The Ashby baseball team collected a pair of wins over Ortonville on Monday, winning 10-1 and 4-1.  “Great couple of wins tonight,” said Head Coach Jared Larson.  “We got behind early in both games, but settled in and went ahead with some timely hitting.”

In the first game, Hunter Norby allowed zero hits and one run over three-and-two-thirds innings, striking out five batters.  Torin Olson and Carson Spangler entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.  Ashby tallied 12 hits in the game with Mattson Hoff and Evan Paulson each contributing 3 hits.

Carter Spangler (7IP, 3H, 1R, 13K) was credited with the victory in game two.  Mattson Hoff went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Arrows offensive attack.
