With the game tied 4-4 after five innings, Perham put four runs on the board in the top of the sixth to take an 8-4 lead over Fergus Falls. The Otters came back strong in the bottom of the sixth, scoring 3 runs, but falling just short in an 8-7 loss. Fergus Falls had 10 hits compared to 7 for Perham.
Madi Budke (3-4, R), Piper Andrews (2-4, RBI, R) and Avery Knutson (1-4, RBI, 3R) were the top hitters for the Otters. Karyssa Eberle, Kiara Grady, Gabby Brimhall and Elizabeth Moxness added RBI hits in the game.
Perham was led by Ryleigh Mickelson (2-3, 22B, RBI, 3R, 2SB), Morgan Burkman (2-4, 2 2B, 2RBI) and Morgan Smith (2-3, 2B, 2R, 3SB). Marissa Hopwood had 3 runs batted in. Stephanie Meissmer (7IP, 10H, 7R, 4ER, 5K, 1BB) was the winning pitcher for Perham.
Perham jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the top of the first inning, but the Otters battled back with a pair of first inning runs and two in the second to tie the game a 4-4. Perham made it 7-4 with 3 runs in the top of the third and the Otters trimmed the lead to 7-6 with two more in the bottom of the third. A 3-run fourth inning put Fergus Falls ahead 9-7, however, Perham tied the game with single runs in the top of the fifth and the top of the seventh. Madi Budke (4-5, RBI, R, SB) then delivered a walk-off base hit to give the Otters the win. Rylynn Krein (3-5, 2RBI, R), Gabby Brimhall (3-4, 2B, 3B, 2R) and Karyssa Eberle (1-3, RBI, 2R, BB) were the hitting leaders for Fergus Falls.
