Otters Manage Just 3 Hits in 7-1 Loss to Minnewaska Area

Fergus Falls managed only three hits on Saturday afternoon in Glenwood as the Minnewaska Area Lakers posted a 7-1 victory over the Otters.  The Lakers scored one run in the first, two in the second and four in the third to build a 7-0 lead after three.  The lone run for the Otters came in the fifth.

Cole Zierden, Ben Swanson and Ethan Gronwold had the only hits for Fergus Falls, all singles.  Zierden and Griffin Babolian each stole a base.  Bo Bring (2IP, 3H, 3R, 1ER, 1BB, 1K) took the loss on the mound.  Colin Becker (4IP, 7H, 4R, 3ER, 2BB, 0K) finished up in relief.

Torii Johnson, Jack Majerus and Dylan Alexander each contributed two hits, while Majerus, Jack Larson, Noah Jensen and Nathaniel Dell each knocked in a run for the Lakers.  The winning pitcher was Alex Panitzke (4IP, 1H, 0R, 3K, 0BB).

The Otters will play a pair of home games on Monday, facing Willmar at 3:30pm and Crookston at 5:30pm at American Legion Field at DeLagoon Park.
