Ottertail Central entered the bottom of the seventh inning Friday trailing Pillager 5-0.  The Bulldogs put together five hits, batted around the order and scored six runs to record the walk-off 6-5 win.

Coach Ryan Hendrickson said, “We gave up 3 runs in about 9 pitches in the first inning, things were not looking good, but the guys settled in and played good baseball after that.  Going into the seventh down five, things didn’t look good again, but we have some really scrappy baseball guys that got er’ done!  Gavin Pausch (6IP, 7H, 3R, 2K, 1BB) did an excellent job keeping his composure and showed great leadership on the mound.  He doesn’t get official credit for the win, but he definitely led the way.  Drew Evavold (1IP, 3H, 2R, 1K, 1BB) earned the win.  He has proved time and time again that he can compete at the varsity level as an 8th-grader.  He earned his first varsity win today and I couldn’t be more proud of him.  He threw really well and also came up with a huge hit in our seventh inning rally.”

Eli Miller (6IP, 6R, 8H, 7K) took the loss for the Huskies.

Owen Harig went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead OTC.

Miller, TJ Swanburg and Derek Hoglin each collected multiple hits for Pillager.
