Every player in the lineup recorded at least one hit on Tuesday as the Fergus Falls baseball team collected 19 hits as a team on the way to a 15-1 victory over the Willmar Cardinals.  The game was tied at 1-1 after 3 innings.  The Otters scored three runs in the fourth, two in the fifth, two in the sixth and seven in the seventh.

Isaac Johnson led the offensive attack for the Otters with four hits and three runs batted in.  Carston Fronning had 3 hits and 2 RBI.  Owen Krueger, Carter Thielke, Ben Swanson and Ethan Gronwold added two hits each.

Thielke (6IP, 7K, 1BB, 0ER) turned in a solid performance on the mound to earn the win.  Fronning (1IP, 1K) added one perfect inning of relief as the Otters improved their season record to 2-6.

“We did everything right on offense today,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Kevin Pearson.  “This was our best played game of the season.  We executed three hit-and-run plays well and got a beautiful sacrifice bunt from Andrew Johnson.”

The Otters will travel to Sauk Rapids-Rice for a noon contest on Wednesday.
