Rothsay won a pair of Mercy Rule decisions over Hillcrest in high school softball on Friday, taking game one 15-0 and game two, 18-8.  “Our kids hit the ball well tonight from the top of the order to bottom and were very aggressive on the bases,” noted Rothsay Head Coach Anita Heier.  “It was great to see everyone contributing in some way tonight.  Great team wins!”

The Tigers scored ten runs in the bottom of the first inning of game one.  Kenadi Carlsrud (2H, 3RBI) and Emma Buckingham (1H, 2RBI) were the hitting leaders for Rothsay.  Katie Reber pitched a great game, allowing no runs on one hit, while striking out four batters.

Rothsay scored in every inning of game two with eight different players getting at least one hit.  Carlsrud led the way with 3 hits, including a triple, and four runs batted in.  Savannah Sullivan, Abby Honer and McKenzie Tillman each had two hits.
