The Brandon-Evansville boys’ basketball program held its postseason banquet last week to celebrate another successful season. “We celebrated two amazing seniors, Tyler Bitzan and Titus Fuller,” said Head Coach Trent Hintermeister.  “Our program is so much better now because of the contributions these two young men gave to Charger athletics.”  Both players, along with Dezmond White, were named to the Pheasant and Little Eight All-Conference teams.

Fuller was named Most Disciplined Player and also received the Pillar Award.

“Our Pillar Award goes to the player in our program who displays leadership on and off the court,” noted Coach Hintermeister.  “A student-athlete who lives their day-to-day life using good communication skills, is self-disciplined, and is trustworthy.  This player represents Brandon-Evansville in a positive way all the time.”

Other varsity awards went to Bitzan (Best Defender), Micah Fuller (Most Improved) and Brady Perleberg (Best Communicator).

JV Awards were handed out to Aaron Gillespie (Most Disciplined), Carter White (Best Defender), Dustin Gillespie (Most Improved) and Gracin Klimek (Best Communicator).

“I thought this season was successful for many reasons,” added Hintermeister. “I felt as the year went on we elevated our play and we played our best ball at the end of the season. We finished the regular season winning 6 out of our last 8 games. The guys were great teammates and our older players displayed what it means to be a great teammate and leader to our younger guys.”
