The Pillager baseball team was hit hard by graduation, losing 5 senior starters from their 5-16 squad of a year ago.  Gone are Blake Clark (SS/P), Cole Hiltner (C/P), Eli Shingledecker (OF), Griffin Decker (OF) and Gabe Grimsley (3B/P).  Head Coach Jacob Box will be assisted by Grant Rindal, with Andy Petersen directing the JV team.

“This year we will have a very young team,” acknowledged Coach Box.  “With only two seniors and two juniors we will rely heavily on the sophomore and freshman class to help contribute early on.  We look forward to competing in a conference that sent three teams to state (New York Mills, Wadena-Deer Creek and Sebeka).”

Returning starters are seniors Tytan Skeesick (P/1B) and Dom Cabak (OF), sophomores Eli Miller (SS/P) and Conner Hanson (OF/P), and freshman Kaden Imdieke (C).

Box will be looking for varsity contributions from sophomore TJ Swanberg (OF), and freshmen Cowen Cremers (IF/OF), Owen Benson (IF/P) and Derek Hoglin (IF/P).

Coach Box sees Pierz, St. Cloud Cathedral and Foley as the Section 6AA favorites, while New York Mills and Wadena-Deer Creek are his picks for the Park Region Conference.
