The Ashby girls’ basketball team held their awards night on Sunday and senior Celi Nelson was honored in a variety of ways. Nelson was recognized as an All-Conference performer, was named the Most Outstanding Player, and made the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association (MGBCA) All-State All-Academic team. That honors is reserved for seniors who have an accumulative GPA of 3.5 to 4.0. Nelson also served as a team captain, along with Ashley Paulson, BrookeLinn Finkelson and Quynn Behrens.
BrookeLinn Finkelson was the recipient of the Miss Hustle Award, and the You’ve Come Along Way award was presented to Lucy Ohren.
JV Individual awards went to Vy Bui (Outstanding Sportsmanship) and Kaitlyn Finkelson (Dedication Award).
Letter winners were Ashley Paulson, Celi Nelson, Quynn Behrens, Chloe Finkelson, Marisa Ludwig, Ivy Aufdenkamp, Sienna Williams, BrookeLinn Finkelson, Lucy Ohren and Ava Ellingson (statistician).
JV Certificates of Participation went to Vy Bui, Addi Olson, Kaitlyn Finkelson, Jessi Schlundt, Mia Thompson and Ayden Behrens.
