Brumfield Named Little Eight Conference MVP, Dorn is Coach of the Year

Hillcrest senior Sam Brumfield (24.8ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.8apg, 77% FT) is the MVP and Randy Dorn of Battle Lake is the Coach of the Year in the Little Eight Conference.  Hillcrest and Ashby shared the LEC Boys’ Basketball Conference Championship with records of 11-1.

Joining Brumfield on the All-Conference first team are Jacob Cook (22.5ppg, 12.7rpg, 2.8apg) of Ashby, Jack Mekalson (18.1ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.9apg) of Battle Lake, Tanner Heier (15.2ppg, 7.4rpg, 3.4apg) of Rothsay and Mason Arens (13.3ppg, 8.8rpg, 2.1apg) of Parkers Prairie.

Second team All-Conference honors went to Titus Fuller (14ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.3apg), Dezmond White (15.5ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.3apg) and Tyler Bitzan (10.7ppg, 8.2rpg, 3.6apg) of Brandon-Evansville, and Hunter Norby (11ppg, 6.5fpg, 3.7apg) and Torin Olson (14.7ppg, 2.9rpg, 2.3apg) of Ashby.

Members of the All-Conference third team are Justin Petersen (12.2ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.9apg) and Noah Brumfield (10.1ppg, 7rpg, 2.1apg) of Hillcrest, Cole Koep (11.8ppg, 4.2rpg, 2.4apg) and Jake Wagner (11.5ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.6apg) of Parkers Prairie, and Drew Evavold (8.3ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.4apg) of Underwood.
