Trojans Fall to Panthers in Section 8AA Playoffs

Kaden Zenzen ended his Barnesville basketball career with a 29 point performance, but the Trojans came up short in their Section 8AA playoff encounter with Park Rapids Area, losing by the score of 71-55.  The Panthers made 19-of-22 free throws in the game and place four players in double digits, led by Logan Jackson and Noah Morris with 21 and 18 points, respectively.

“They outplayed us tonight and we really had some struggles against their zone,” commented Barnesville Assistant Coach Tracy Hinsz.

Zach Bredman joined Zenzen in double figures, scoring 13 points.

The Trojans trailed by five, 30-25, at the half, and battled back to take a 40-39 lead in the second half.  With the two teams tied at 46-46 the Panthers went on a 7-0 run to take control of the game.  Park Rapids Area made 11-of-12 second half free throws.

Barnesville ends their season with a final record of 14-11.
