The Alexandria Area Cardinals took runner-up honors to Breck/Blake at the Class A State Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday. Breck/Blake won the event with a score of 495.5 and the Cardinals score was 203. St. Thomas Academy placed third with 172, Mankato East was fourth with 157.5, Hutchinson came in fifth with 139 and Sauk Rapids-Rice was sixth with 130 points.
