Ainsley Hansen registered a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds) and Ellie Colbeck netted 30 points, including 9-of-9 from the free throw line to lead Fergus Falls to a 64-47 Section 8AA playoff win over the Barnesville Trojans on Saturday afternoon.

The Otters and Trojans battled through an extremely competitive first half that featured 8 ties and 6 lead changes.  The Otters took a 35-29 lead into the locker room at halftime and scored the first 8 points of the second half to open up a 14 point lead.  They continued to lead by double digits throughout the second half.

Tori Ratz joined Colbeck and Hansen in double figures, scoring 16 points, including four 3's.  Fergus Falls shot 43% (22-51) from the floor.

"It was a slugfest and that's what we expect in our section games," said Fergus Falls Head Coach Josh Steer.  "I thought our defense really stepped up in the second half and that helped us pull out what I would term a 'gritty' win."

Leading scorers for Barnesville were Sydney Strand and Lauren Halverson with 11 and 10 points, respectively.  The Trojans end their season with a record of 10-13.  Barnesville made 39% (17-43) of their field goal attempts.

Fergus Falls (22-5) will face Crookston in the 8AA semifinals at 6:00pm Wednesday in Detroit Lakes.  Crookston handed the Otters a 46-45 loss during the Otters Holiday Tournament on December 28.
