Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton built a 38-17 halftime lead against Pelican Rapids on Saturday afternoon, however, an injury to Owen Leach prevented him from playing in the second half and the Vikings took advantage with a 40-10 output in the final 18 minutes to take a 57-48 victory over the Rebels.

“It definitely was a tale of two halves today as DGF completely controlled the first half and we were able to turn the tables on them in the second half,” commented Pelican Rapids Head Coach John Gullingsrud. “The Rebels were shorthanded today as well as Logan Bitker was unable to play due to an ankle injury and Owen Leach was unable to play in the second half due to an injury he sustained at the end of the first half. We were able to take advantage of that in the second half with our size and we were much more aggressive overall on both ends of the court to get us back in the game.  We are really proud of our guys for their effort and continuing to battle all game long to come away with the road win.”

Ian Fahje scored 21 to lead the Vikings.  Timmy Guler added 14 and Hunter Williams contributed 9 points.

Leach had 19 points and Kaden Altobelli finished with 12 to lead the Rebels.

Pelican Rapids (20-5) has won their last six games and ten of their last eleven.
