The Battle Lake girls’ basketball team saw their season come to an end on Thursday night in Breckenridge as the Cowgirls posted a 65-51 victory over the lady Battlers.

“We got off to a good start and build a lead early,” said Battle Lake Head Coach David Marso.  “To start the second half, Breck went on a 15-0 run and we never recovered.  The depth of the Cowgirls bench was just too much.”

Ady Tysdal’s three-pointer at the buzzer gave the lady Battlers a 10 point lead at the half, 37-27.  After their 15-0 run the Cowgirls had turned that deficit into a 5-point lead at 42-37 and they never looked back.   Tysdal led Battle Lake with 25 points, including six 3’s, and Grace VanErp scored 11.

No Breckenridge stats were reported.

The Cowgirls (12-12) will now face Underwood at 1:00pm Saturday in Perham.

Battle Lake ends the season with a 16-8 record.
