Torin Olson calmly knocked down two free throws with 15 seconds remaining in regulation to help give the Ashby Arrows a 56-55 victory over the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Saints on Thursday night in Ashby.  KMS held a 31-29 lead at halftime.

Olson was the leading scorer for the Arrows netting 16 points.  Carson Spangler was next with a season high 13 points.  Hunter Norby added 11.  Everyone who played for the Arrows entered the scoring column.  Jacob Cook had 6 points, Brodie Ecker 4, and Carter Spangler and Matson Hoff each made a 3-pointer in the first half.

The Saints' Jared Cortez led all scorers in the game with 20 points.  Alex Call was the only other KMS player to reach double figures scoring 12 points.

The Arrows shot 48% (22/46) from the field and chased down 31 rebounds.

“In the last two minutes of the game every Arrow player made a positive contribution to the victory,” stated Ashby Head Coach John Holsten.  “Hunter Norby and Brodie Ecker were terrific defensively in the second half.  There isn't a tougher competitor than Carson Spangler.  It was a hotly contested high school basketball game.  KMS is an outstanding basketball team with excellent players.  We were fortunate to pull out a win.”

The Arrows improve their overall record to 21-3.  They face the Henning Hornets Friday night in Ashby.
