The Brandon-Evansville boys’ basketball team beat Parkers Prairie 54-51 in a Little Eight Conference contest on Monday night. Titus Fuller and Dezmond White led the Chargers with 17 and 16 points, respectively.  Micah Fuller added 10 points.

“I thought we had multiple guys step up at the end of the game to get us this win,” commented B-E Head Coach Trent Hintermeister. “We were down 7 with less than 2 minutes to go in the game. Tyler Bitzan got a huge steal and scored on the other end to get us going. We then created a 10-second call in the back court when it was under a minute. Titus hit the game tying 3-pointer from the corner to get it to 51-51. We played about 20 seconds of great defense and created a turnover with 9 seconds left in the game. With 2 seconds left in the game, Dez hit a deep three to give us the 54-51 win. Overall, we played 10 players and they all had a hand in tonight's win. I'm proud of our guys. Tomorrow we have a home game against CGB and we will have the chance to honor our two amazing seniors, Tyler Bitzan and Titus Fuller.”

Coach Hintermeister added, “Brady Perleberg made some HUGE defensive plays for us tonight. Brady oftentimes doesn't get the credit he deserves for all the things he does for our basketball team.”

Brandon-Evansville (13-11) will host Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Tuesday and travel to Wheaton for their regular season finale on Friday.

Parkers Prairie (11-12) will host Osakis on Tuesday, play at Bertha-Hewitt on Thursday and close out their regular season at home against Wadena-Deer Creek on Friday.
