Hawley ran into a hot shooting Fosston boys’ basketball team on Monday night and the Greyhounds recorded an 83-65 win over the Nuggets.  Fosston placed four players in double figures, led by 19 points from Carsen Boushee and 18 from Cullen Norland.

Aaron Norland and Zach Theis joined them in double digits with 14 points apiece.

“All credit to Fosston,” commented Hawley Head Coach Nathan Stoa.  “They were ready to play and shot the lights out.  If they shoot that way, or anywhere close to it, there isn’t anyone in their section they cannot beat.  We were not good, as a team, tonight in any facet of the game, which is disappointing after a very good performance on Friday night.  You’re never as good as you think you are and never as bad as you think you are.  On to DGF.”

Sam Senske led Hawley with 19 points and Hayden Grani added 18. Brady Gratton was also in double figures with 11 points.

Hawley (15-6) will play at DGF Tuesday and will host Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal on Friday.
