Fergus Falls took third place at the Section 5A Boys’ Swimming and Diving Meet on Saturday, scoring 279 points.  Alexandria won the event with a score of 572 and Melrose/Sauk Centre finished second with 463 points.

The Otters qualified their 400 freestyle relay team for the state meet with a third place finish.  The team of juniors Christian Reed, Tyler Kubela and Micah Zosel, and sophomore Logan Rott turned in a time of 3:37.39.

“Awesome meet today,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Randy Hansen. “Congratulations to our 400 free relay. We have not had a relay to state for several years so it was exciting to qualify. We had lots of time drops again today. To place 3rd as a team is a great accomplishment for them.  I couldn’t be more proud of the boys.”
