Spartan Men Hold Off Second Half Rally to Beat Minnesota West by 10

The M State Men's Basketball team buried 9 3's in the first half as they led 45-30 at halftime, however, the Spartans went cold in the second half opening the door for the Blue Jays to fight back to within two points in the final minutes of the game before finishing with a 71-61 win.

Six different players hit 3's for M State as the finished 10-for-34 (29.4%), led by 3 from Krosby Aasness who finished with 10 points.  Mert Taylor led the way with 14 points and Larrie Bell added 13 points and 8 rebounds.  Nic Pearson finished with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals and Langston Davis had 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals.  Renell Edwards had a team high 11 rebounds, dished out 4 assists and scored 8 points.

London Campbell recorded a double-double (16 points, 11 rebounds) to lead the Blue Jays.  He was joined in double figures by Cortney Ligon with 12 and Amos Alford, Jr. with 10.

M State (8-15) will host Rochester at 3:00pm in their final home game of the season.
