Alexandria Swimmers and Divers Remain Undefeated

Alexandria remained undefeated in Boys’ Swimming and Diving after traveling to St. Cloud Tech to win the meet over the Tech/Cathedral/Rocori team by a score of 113 to 71.

Alexandria started the meet with a victory in the 200 medley relay by 12 seconds over the TCR relay. Relay members were Eric Peterson, Logan Tung, Nick Welle, and Carter Holm. The third place relay consisted of Mark Meece, Joel Brault, Cooper Running, and Anthony Hoyt. Eli Biggers and Andrew Johnson placed first and second in the JV 200 freestyle. Carter Holm and Anthony Hoyt dove right back in after the relay to place second and fourth in the 200 freestyle. Zachary Timm placed fifth. Running placed second in the 200 IM with Meece in fourth. Andrew Johnson won the JV 50 freestyle followed by teammate Coltan Koehn in second. Welle and Erik Reineke placed 1/2 in the 50 freestyle. Kyler Kavanagh, Caden Kavanagh, and Keaton Snitker placed third, fourth and fifth in diving. Welle won the butterfly, followed by Eric Peterson in third and Meece in fourth.Eli Biggers won the JV 100 freestyle, followed by fellow senior Coltan Koehn in third. Carter Holm led the 1/2/3 sweep in the 100 freestyle, followed by Logan Tung and Erik Reineke with a season best time. Anthony Hoyt placed second in the 500 freestyle, followed by Zachary Timm in third and Joel Brault in fifth. The 200 freestyle relay team of Welle, Tung, Reineke, and Holm easily won the event, followed by the third place relay team of Biggers, Matt Mayer, Joel Brault, and Zachary Timm. Eric Peterson won the backstroke, followed by Cooper Running in third and Andrew Crowser in fourth. Logan Tung won the breaststroke by 6 seconds, followed by Brault in third and Mayer in fourth. The 400 freestyle relay team of Hoyt, Reineke, Peterson, and Running won the event, with the team of Biggers, Crowser, Meece, and Timm in third. There were few JV events, which meant there was little rest for the swimmers when moving from one event to the other.

Next up for the team is the True Team State Meet at the University of Minnesota on Saturday at noon.
