Torin Olson’s 18 point second half outburst led the Arrows. Olson finished with 20 points. Jacob Cook and Hunter Norby scored 17 points apiece and Cook had a team high 9 boards. Carson Spangler and Carter Spangler were very good at individual and team defense. The Arrows shot 46% (25-54) from the field and only attempted 4 free throws, making 2 of them.
“The Chargers kept us off balance with their multiple defenses,” stated Ashby Head Coach John Holsten. “Our activity defensively was pretty good, except we had trouble ending possessions with a rebound. B-E earned way too many second shot opportunities.”
“I thought we played a solid first half, trailing 25-21, and I thought we executed some things on both sides of the ball pretty well,” commented B-E Head Coach Trent Hintermeister. “We were short-handed a bit in the second half, but had some guys step up into roles they hadn’t had to do before and I’m proud of how they performed. Ashby is talented, athletic, and tall. They did a nice job tonight. We look forward to a home game on Saturday against Parkers Prairie.”
Ashby will play a home game against West Central Area on Monday night.
