Hancock won the rebounding battle 34-24 and the Owls made 14-of-17 free throw attempts on the day. Matt Thompson had a huge day, scoring 21 points and securing 18 rebounds. Hudson VerSteeg also scored 21 and Jackson Koehl finished with 15. Luke Joos had a team high 4 assists.
Peyton Church led 3 Wolverines in double digits with 21 points. Payton Rondestvedt and Teshane Loer added 14 and 12 points, respectively.
The Owls will travel to Wheaton to face the Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Warriors on Friday night.
Wadena-Deer Creek (4-7) will host Verndale on Thursday night.
