Barnesville hosted Warroad in a high school boys’ basketball game Friday night and the Warriors took a 50-22 halftime lead and went on to beat the Trojans 82-66. Warroad shot 52% (27-51) from the field and made 15-of-27 (55%) 3-point attempts. Barnesville was held to 36% (25-68) shooting and made only 26% (8-30) of their treys.
The Trojans were led by Noah Krause (14 points, 8 rebounds), Zach Bredman (12 points, 4 assists), Logan Ernst (12 points) and Kaden Zenzen (11 points, 14 rebounds, 3 blocks). Wyatt Suter and Jack Nielsen finished with 8 and 7 points, respectively. Nielsen also had 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists.
Barnesville (6-3) will host Badger-Greenbush-Middle River on Saturday afternoon.
